PARENTS

Hours of operation

Our school is open Monday thru Friday from 6:30am until 6:00pm.

LATE PICK UP POLICY

The administration respects the need for extended care; therefore the school is open until 6:00pm. This provides ample time to arrange proper pick up for your child. We expect each family to respect our hours of operation. There will be a fee of $2.00 per minute added to your account if your child is picked up after 6:00pm. Repeated failure to pick up your child by our closing time may result in the withdrawal of your child from the center.

PAYMENT POLICY

All tuition payments are due on Monday – Wednesday between 6:30am – 12:00pm. A $20.00 late fee will be charged if payment is not made by the following Thursday morning. If payment is not received by Friday of the same week we will discontinue enrollment of your child and make the space available.

Free/Reduced Lunch Program

Our center offers breakfast, lunch and snack. The National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program is administered by the Food Program Department. This program provides free and reduced priced meals for children unable to pay the full price. Applications must be filled out every school year. Forms are sent with a

Parent/Teacher Communication

One of the key factors to student success lies in the communication between parents and teachers. It is important that you schedule a conference with your child’s teacher to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your child’s learning. Conferences may be scheduled before or after school hours. Your child’s teacher may also agree to schedule a conference during his/her break. When contacting a teacher, please expect a response within 24 hours. You can contact the teacher by email or ClassDojo

The conferences will be through Zoom

Parent Portal and Student Portal

Parents/Guardians, including employees, have access to the Parent Portal THINKWAVE. In order to access the information in the portal, you must first establish a parent user account. This will allow you to update personal information, see your child’s information – including grades, attendance.

Use of Student Photograph or Videotape

Photographs or video of classroom activities will be taken throughout the year and may be published on our school website, in public newspapers, and in any advertising the school may use. Since the Internet and newspaper are public forums accessible by all, parental permission is required. A consent form is sent home at the beginning of the school year to obtain authorization from each student’s parent/guardian to photograph or videotape students. If a parent/guardian objects to this, it is important that the consent form is filled out and returned to the child’s teacher.

Emergency Contact Information

Student Data/Emergency Contact Forms are distributed during the first week of school. Students are expected to bring the cards home and present them to their parents or guardians. The card must be carefully completed and then returned. The information provided on the Student Data/Emergency Contact Card will enable school staff to contact the parent/guardian immediately in the case of an emergency. Students may only be released from school to the persons listed on the emergency contact card after presenting a picture identification. No persons, other than school staff, will have access to the information submitted. It is critical that the school office be notified of any change of address and/or telephone number immediately.

Accidents/Illnesses

Parents will be notified immediately in case of illness or an accident. In the event that a parent cannot be located, the person(s) named on the emergency contact cards will be contacted. It is your responsibility to make sure that these numbers are current and accurate. Please notify the office immediately of any accident or injury which occurred during arrival or departure from school. Children who are ill should remain at home to minimize the risk of passing the illness onto others. Please notify us of any contagious illness your child has so we may alert other parents. In addition, please notify the school of any chronic condition your child may have.
